What to Expect for Multi-Day Coaching
Retreatstm
Please do review the sample agenda for specific Coaching
Retreats. Most multi-day Coaching Retreats include structured and
unstructured time as well as private and group time. You may seek alone
time from time to time if you wish or you may participate in group activities;
it's your choice! Many days include the following structured activities:
Daily Opening Exercise
Meditation/Visualization
Yoga/Stretching
An Outdoor Activity (a walk, hike, picnic and/or individual/group
exercise, etc.)
Lunch on Your Own
Coaching and/or Seminar
Group Meal (lunch and/or dinner depending on the event)
Daily Closing Exercise
During your free time, there will be some suggested
activities, however, of course, you can use your time to explore and enjoy your
surroundings. We would be happy to provide recommendations based on your
interests.
We will typically meet at The Balance Studio for Coaching Retreats on Orcas
Island. The Balance Studio is located in Eastsound Village on Orcas.
Eastsound Village has restaurants, grocery stores, internet cafes, coffee shops,
hotels/inns, retail shops, bookstores, postal services, a library, parks, etc.
in easy walking distance. From The Balance Studio, you can walk to the
water, wander through the woods at Madrona Point and take a stroll across from
Indian Island.
Please note that since there will be some physical activity, all participants
will be required to sign a waiver upon arrival.
How to Prepare
Coaching Retreats are scheduled towards the end of the week to allow
participants to complete their work and fully participate in the activities
without email and cell phone distractions to receive the greatest retreat
benefits possible.
Please let people know that you are participating in a Coaching Retreat
and let them know when they can expect to hear from you next by email or
phone.
You may wish to bring the following items:

A good sense of humor and flexibility (this especially comes in
handy when working with Mother Nature)
Camera and film (with spare batteries or travel charger)

Fleece jacket/top
Casual clothes (khaki's would be slightly "dressy," but okay for
dinner)

Sturdy walking shoes and/or hiking boots (flip-flops/sandals are
optional)
Regular backpack (or fanny pack) to hold snacks or water during
